The planned speaker for Ladies Fellowship on Monday was unable to come but the meeting went ahead as usual and people were asked to bring something of interest to share. Bearing in mind the celebrations for the Queen s Jubilee, Verna thought we could share memories of where we were on Coronation Day or any times when we had met or seen members of the Royal Family.     This produced some varied stories but nobody in the group had met the Queen in person.     Gill brought photographs of her very special holiday in the Galápagos Islands with all its very unusual animals and birds and mammals.       We then had our brains tested with some puzzles brought by Alma.

Next month s meeting is, for a change, being held on a Saturday afternoon as we are having a Strawberry Tea.     The date is Saturday, 9 June at Verna s house.     We will dress in red, white and blue with our tiaras!         We ll be sure to have a good time.
