Last week the Songsters were involved in the Celebrate series of meetings organized by Divisional Headquarters.

On this occasion   the meeting was held at Gravesend and was intended to attract people mainly from the corps in   north west Kent. Gravesend Band, augmented with a few auxiliaries, also provided music. The meeting was led by the Divisional Director for Evangelism, Major Denise McGarvey, and a number of corps brought reports of their own activities. These included   Penge, Chatham, Strood, Sheerness and Dartford. The Songsters contributed pre-meeting music and two contributions to the meeting itself (‘A Song of Praise’ and ‘Thou art Worthy’).

Divisional Commander, Lt. Col. Peter Moran, gave the address and based his thoughts on The Salvation Army and what it means.
