Directions Approaching From Strood/Rochester A2

Take A2 through Strood, over Rochester Bridge and keep in left hand lane, passing a number of sets of traffic lights. Road bends to the right at a set of traffic lights. Continue to follow A2 Chatham and Gillingham. Keep in left hand lane as road bears left up a hill. Keep left at the mini roundabout at top of hill keeping grass banks on right hand side. Shortly after passing St Bartholomew s Hospital (on left – watch out for speed camera!) you will see a Wickes warehouse on the right followed quickly by an Esso petrol station (also on the right). In a further 300 metres (approximately) the road dips slightly left. Ignore pedestrian crossing (light controlled) and  turn left at next set of lights signed Chatham Town Centre and immediately left again taking slip to avoid lights. Beware light controlled pedestrian crossing. After 100 metres, take left filter signed to James Street, Rhode Street and Jenkins Dale. Do not proceed through underpass but turn immediately right at mini roundabout taking road under bridge. This is one way but traffic has been known to ignore this so beware! Pass under the bridge.

If you carry a blue disabled badge turn right. You will see the Army hall right in front of you. You may circle the building in an anti-clockwise direction and park where you can, displaying your badge. Beware, some drivers ignore the clockwise procedure!  If you do not carry a blue badge keep straight ahead after passing under the aforementioned bridge. There are two parking options both of which require payment (unfortunately).

You will see the SA building straight in front of you (large cross on the wall facing you). The entrance is down the slope to the left of the cross

OR

Turn right opposite the entrance to the surface car park into the NCP multi-storey car park (pay when leaving). Once parked leave the car park by the nearest exit and you will either see the SA building directly in front of you (large cross on the wall facing you) or you will need to turn sharp left in order to do so according to which exit you left by. The entrance is down the slope to the left of the cross.
